A crisis situation is currently plaguing our cities and communities throughout the country and its casualties are the highest in predominately black communities. This plague, genocide, is a result of social injustices and disparities towards minority communities. Some of these include lack of adequate education, jobs, housing, and healthcare,

Current data suggest racial and ethnic minority populations are experiencing disproportionate impacts and worst health outcomes from COVID-19. A public health crisis such as COVID-19 further amplifies the higher mortality rates in minority communities.

Without relevant information and adequate testing for the COVID-19 virus, the rate of infection and spread will continue throughout our communities. Without access to relevant resources, individuals will face overwhelming odds in safeguarding themselves, loved ones and neighbors. Without informed leadership, individuals may become entangled in an environment that reinforces, even encourages negative behaviors and attitudes.
